New Year, New Site:
2/1/2009

Its a new year and time for a new site! Finally up and running the new site will be kept up to date with the latest happenings of all things Wycombe Rotaract

New Year, what do you want to do?:
2/1/2009

As the New Year is merely hours away, we want to know what you want to do. Basically, we're planning the calendar for the next 5 months until May and we want to include your ideas. So whether you've heard of this crazy place to go to, or know some one who is looking for support from a group of do-gooders, please add them to the discussion board on this group.

Rotaract Xmas Party:
21/12/2008

20 members of High Wycombe Rotaract descended on The Crown in Penn for its Christmas party. Everyone arriving, greeting and exchanging cards (as well as a few choco treats) kicked off the evening. After the final stragglers arrived, the secret Santa took place.....for those who didnt quite get this concept...secret Santa means wrapping your gift and writing a label from Santa (or getting someone else to do them for you!) with a spending suggestion of £5. Hint hint!

Food was served "continuously" from the kitchen, with what appeared to be some problems with the Steak and Veggie dishes in the mains and the Christmas Pudding being cooked after all the other deserts came out! Other than what appeared to be a poorly organised service, the food was very yummy, and lets not forget the free wine!Plenty of drinks a-flowing and a great atmosphere all round. To finish the evening was a debate on where Thunderbird 3 came out from on Tracy Island. Obviously a very serious and important peice of information everyone should know! The failure of 118 to provide the correct answer and then send a really rubbish joke was the only downpart of the evening. Fantastic night out with friends, thats what Christmas is all about!

Hellfire Comedy Club:
4/12/2008

14 club members and friends recently spent a humorous evening at the Hellfire Comedy Club atHellfire Comedy Club Wycombe Town Hall. We first had dinner at the Noodle Bar, which seems to be a club favourite, and quite rightly so, very yummy! We then headed to the town hall and found a table at the back, experience has taught us that you should NEVER sit at the front at a comedy show! There were two entertaining acts (not including the ‘hilarious’ heckler), the first a young lady who I would not like to meet in a dark ally, who sang us some very charming and funny songs. Secondly, a guy who must be given credit for his comical replies to the aforementioned ‘hilarious’ heckler. However the highlight of the night had to be Al’s announcement to the entire audience about his fondness for internet dating! A good fun evening out for all, and hopefully one that will be repeated soon.

Halloween Party:
31/10/2008 Halloween Party

We raised £566 at our very successful Halloween Party held in West Wycombe. This will be donated to our charity of the year, Child Bereavement Trust. Well done Laura and the team!
